LUCIFERNUM is a 76-minute gothic film set in the eighteenth-century Lucifernum in Bruges, where Doctor Retsin lives among his paintings, his poems and his dead. Vampires move through a world of art, memory and the desire for immortality.

The film moves between portrait, fiction and gothic reverie. Alongside Doctor Retsin appear the Count, the Butler, the Black Madonna and a house that gradually becomes a character in its own right. Reality, memory and apparition slowly begin to merge.

LUCIFERNUM, A CinemaScala Picture was written and directed by Rubèn Cottenjé de Dauphin and produced by Latin-Flanders in collaboration with DevaFilm.com. The film was made on a production budget of €666.
